Who We Are

The Christian Economic Development (CED) Network is a community of 300+ organizations in more than 80 countries committed to Christ-centered economic development. Our purpose is to create a space where organizations and individuals can share best practices, learn from each other's challenges, and encourage each other in our pursuits of transformational economic development.

CED is a global network with particpants from 65 countries.

How We Serve

The Christian Economic Development Network serves practitioners in four primary ways:

1. Face-to-face gatherings

We produce an annual conference, the CED Summit, to foster deepened collaboration among Christ-centered economic development practitioners
We hold a CED Network intensive at the OneAccord conference hosted by our friends at the Accord Network

2. Virtual discussions

We host virtual events and webinars to learn from each other on topics relevant to Christ-centered economic development. See upcoming webinars here

3. Communities of practice

We facilitate opt-in communities of practice that meet virtually throughout the year to go deeper in the disciplines of savings groups, integral mission, agriculture, business training, and microfinance. Learn more and join a community of practice here

4. We share resources and tools from CED Network participants in our resource library

Collaboration is key to the mission of the CED Network.

Our Motivation

As a network, we are motivated to engage in Christian economic development by Christ’s love for us (1 John 3:1, 4:19-21), Christ’s response to those in need (Psalm 113:7-8, Luke 4:17-19), and our desire to see His Kingdom flourish here on earth (Matthew 6:9-10).

CED is a Christian network motivated by Christ.

There is no formal membership application or fee required to participate in the Christian Economic Development Network. Our Leadership

The Christian Economic Development Network Steering Committee is comprised of volunteer members from Christian economic development organizations. HOPE International has chaired the steering committee since 2016.
